Hollinwood Academy Celebrating Outstanding GCSE Success

Today is a day of immense pride and celebration for our entire school community as we congratulate our students on a truly fantastic set of GCSE results. This year is particularly special, as a number of our students have been part of the Hollinwood Academy since joining our first Reception class in 2015. It has been a privilege to watch them grow, flourish and mature into the confident, resilient and ambitious young people we celebrate today.
This year, our Year 11 students, alongside several Year 10 students who completed GCSE qualifications early, have achieved a record-breaking 212 GCSE entries. These results are a testament to their dedication, resilience, determination and hard work over many years. Every grade achieved represents countless hours of study, perseverance through challenges and a commitment to achieving personal success.
I could not be prouder of what our young people have accomplished. Each student should take this opportunity to reflect on their achievements and recognise just how far they have come. Whether students have met, exceeded, or worked tirelessly towards their goals, today is about celebrating individual success and the progress that has been made.
These achievements have not been accomplished alone. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our families whose encouragement, patience and unwavering support have played such an important role throughout this journey. The partnership between home and school is invaluable and today's success is one that we share together.
I must also acknowledge the exceptional commitment of our staff. Their dedication to providing outstanding teaching, guidance, encouragement and pastoral support has helped our students to thrive. Staff have gone above and beyond to ensure every student had the opportunity to succeed and I am enormously grateful for their hard work and belief in our young people.
Most importantly, congratulations to every student receiving results today. You should be incredibly proud of yourselves. As you celebrate with family and friends, take time to recognise the effort, determination and character that have brought you to this moment.
While today is a time for celebration, it is also the beginning of exciting new opportunities. Whether your next step is sixth form, college, apprenticeships or other pathways, we are confident that you will continue to achieve great things. The skills, resilience and ambition you have demonstrated will serve you well in the next stage of your educational journey.
On behalf of everyone at Hollinwood Academy, congratulations on your remarkable achievements. Enjoy your celebrations, embrace the opportunities ahead, and remember that you will always be an important part of our school community.
Well done, Class of 2026. We are incredibly proud of you and wish you every success for the future.
