HWA Blog - 5.9.25

Welcome back everyone. What a fabulous week it has been meeting new children, young people, staff and families.

When walking around school I have witnessed lots of exciting learning opportunities and activities. The children and young people I have spoken to are glad to be back and are looking forward to the year ahead. 

At the beginning of the week staff attended various training sessions including:

First Aid

Safeguarding (keeping children safe in education)

Low level concerns

Artificial intelligence in schools

EFL

New staff induction

Critical incident training

GDPR

Health and safety

It was a busy couple of days for all staff, and the training was intense, however very effective. We will continue to invest in CPD for staff throughout the year to ensure staff are equipped to support all children and young people across school.

I am looking forward to sharing all the wonderful classroom activities with you next week and most importantly our stars of the week.
