8MHA Wellbeing Trip

8HMA enjoyed a fantastic wellbeing trip to the Lowry Art Gallery, Salford Quays today.

We arrived at to the art gallery and went to see the main exhibition of LS Lowry’s art work – a world renowned portrait and street-scene painter from Greater Manchester.

After a wander around the exhibition and gift shop, we had our lunch together outside in glorious sunshine, before moving onto visit the TARDIS in another part of the Lowry Centre.

We then attended the amazing Frameless event all about portrait art. We learned about lots of famous faces who feature in Frameless, including David Bowie, Jane Austen, William Shakespeare, Sir Winston Churchill and Queen Elizabeth II.

The immersive 360 video and sound exhibition was really interesting and all of our children enjoyed being completely surrounded!

A great day for all of us to spend together.
