Well, we are already in week 3 here at Hollinwood Academy holiday club and we got it off to a great start with lots of fun activities.
Some of us started our day on the bouncy castle having fun racing each other over the obstacles..
James decided he was going to relax instead – well, it is Monday!
Like James, some of the other children decided to start their morning a little more calmly, working together to build different shapes out of the stickle bricks..
Even the staff joined in to help..
Of course Xbox and ICT were both popular choices..
The children have worked really well together deciding which games they are going to play. We have 4 control pads for the Xbox and it has been lovely to see the children taking turns and sharing – they really are working on their social skills..
In soft play, a game of penalty shootout gave us a chance to practice our football skills..
..and of course, there are plenty more games to play there..
..while Yoga got us all stretched and relaxed before lunch..
Our reception children took to the hall for a chance to run around, have a game of football and play on the scooters and the bouncy castle. It’s great for them to have the space to themselves to explore the different activities..
There was also time for a bit of messy play – who knew shaving foam could be so much fun?
..and some ‘tattoos’!
In the afternoon, the children in the base joined in swimming. They had a great time splashing around and sitting on the floats..
We can’t wait to see what tomorrow has in store for us!
