Thursday, Day 3:
It was a lovely start to the morning, warm and bright, nice and early the children came roaring through the doors at Hollinwood ready to rock and roll into Day 3 of Holiday Club.
The first activities of the day were Board Games, Bingo and Soft Play which the children really enjoyed, Joshua got everyone off to a flying start..
..while the lovely Marco was at the very top of the frame giving us a thumbs up and the slides were being utilised well by Maia and Miss Lees..
The morning progressed with Drawing and Pamper. Nathan got stuck into some creative colouring and paper plane making..
..while Ivy and Jenna got some well deserved pampering by Miss Roberts and Miss Davies who carefully applied some glossy nail varnish and listened to some really soothing background music which had everyone feeling very relaxed..
The lovely weather allowed the boys to play some more outdoor football, this time it was the Students (Youth) led by our City fanatic that is Liam, against the Teachers (Age) led by Mr Pryce, and staying well away from shooting today, Mr Bocking! Darnell, Luke and Mr Heaton made up the rest of the numbers, and I think rightfully so no VAR needed, Youth won in the end!
The AB at Hollinwood Academy went on their park walk today, Adam and Joe really enjoy the chance to go outside when the weather is nice so today they had a ball, both boys gave Miss Greenwood and Miss Sharples a good run around. They were also joined by James and Charlie, who definitely made full use of the park swings and sand pit..
Back at school, the rest of the gang carried on with their activities. Kobi, Bronson, Szymon, Emily, Ethan and Luigi were well occupied by the Xbox..
..the others were in ICT, Football and Art..
..while Bronson was very, very focused on his Lego..
Lunch was eaten and after a quick run around, the students went off to their next activities, Key Ring Making, Xbox and a new activity that’s been added to this term’s holiday club, Speed Stacks! At one point there were over 9 students in that room with the speed stacks, they all really enjoyed this new activity and the staff joined in too – it soon became a friendly competition to see who could build the highest stack! Daniel and Thomas were really setting the pace for the rest to follow..
The day ended with a really chilled out session of swimming. AB joined in, Finlay and Kobi again were the wave makers and all the balls were in the pool today, so when Mr Roscoe joined in, the boys sure gave him a warm welcome!
We’re looking forward to even more fun tomorrow!
