Safer Internet Day 2018 was celebrated globally on Tuesday 6th February with the slogan “Create, Connect and Share Respect: A better internet starts with you”.
More than a thousand organisations across the UK got on board to help inspire a national conversation about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively and our pupils at Hollinwood were happy to get involved too!
Our young people took part in a whole host of different activities (details to come in this week’s blog!)…..including a competition to design a poster for school using the Safer Internet Day jigsaw template. We’re delighted to announce that Ciara is the winner!!
Ciara will be presented with her certificate and prize when we return after half term, and her winning design will be printed on a canvas by our Digit4ll students and proudly displayed in school.
You can still find a wealth of information, tips and advice on the UK Safer Internet Centre’s website here – definitely worth a look!
Well done, everyone!! #SaferInternetDay #SID2018
