Welcome to another week’s blog. Our classes at primary have begun practising for their Nativity – letters will be going home soon so you can get your tickets! We know from the last two years how successful it has been and we’re really looking forward to this year’s performance.
This week I have asked the classes from primary and secondary if there is anything special that they have done this week that they would like to share with everyone. Miss Shin’s class look like they have had a great week..
Our topic this term is ‘Time to party!’ and this week we located the USA on a world map and learned about the history of Thanksgiving. We then made our own Thanksgiving turkeys and shared things we were thankful for..

– Reece is thankful for Sky Sports, school, friends, holidays and food..

– Jayden is thankful for his Mum, brother and all his family..
– Kia is thankful for my little pony and shopkins.
We are learning about electricity in Science. This week we investigated complete and incomplete electrical circuits – to do this we used batteries, wires and bulbs to make circuits..
Mrs Bennett’s intervention group have set up a little company producing rice crispy cakes and selling them to staff and pupils. They have looked at everything from advertising and producing the item to selling the finished product..
This afternoon I popped up to Miss Gordon’s room to discover a lunchtime club taking place. Sophie let me try out a game on her phone which I was terrible at! Next week I have promised to go and spend some time with the group and they have promised to help me master this game..

Star of the Week: Jacob for trying extra hard in his Music and doing some fantastic copying of clapping rhymes and singing..
SEAL Superstar: Amario for recognising that the teachers thought the classroom was untidy and then helping to tidy without being asked..
- Mr Corrigan’s class:
Star of the Week: Ethan for displaying a growing confidence and independence with his writing..
SEAL Superstar: Zachary for an act of forgiveness..
- Miss Louden’s class:
Star of the Week: Jenna for being a kind and caring friend
SEAL Superstar: Jack for trying his best to make others happy - Miss Parkinson’s class:
Star of the Week: Luke for fantastic effort and improved confidence in swimming this week - Miss Shin’s class:

Just a reminder that it is Parents’ Evening on Tuesday after school – we are very much looking forward to seeing you all. In addition to talking to your child’s teachers, there will also be opportunities to speak with the Pastoral Team and Christine Oxley, our school health advisor.
