Welcome to my last blog before the half term holiday. Today’s coffee morning has been a lovely way to end our first half term, we were delighted to welcome so many of our parents and carers into school to spend some time with us. Walking around the school I had the pleasure of speaking to so many of you – as you can see from the pictures, it was a great success..
Miss Louden’s class even managed to combine coffee morning with getting ready for Halloween by practising their apple bobbing..
..and several other activities too..
..some of them messier than others!
Earlier in the week, our basketball team took part in a tournament at Manor Academy in Sale. You can view all the pictures here but we thought you’d like a quick look at the boys in action..
I would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to the wonderful team at Hollinwood Academy, from Alison our cook to our admin and HR team and, of course, our fantastic, hard-working teaching assistants and teachers. Without their commitment and support the children and young people would not excel and make the progress that they do.
I hope you all have a well-rested half term. I will be seeing my family at the end of half term, celebrating Diwali the Hindu Festival of Lights.
I’m looking forward to welcoming you all back on Monday 31st October,
Jaina
