As Graham has described in his Principal’s blog today, this week has been overshadowed by the shocking news about our lovely colleague, Tracy Lowe. I have worked alongside Tracy for many years and I had absolute respect for her. Tracy always had time to talk and time to listen – she was one of those people who would ‘always be there’. Tragically, this will no longer be the case – she will be sorely missed. I am unable to express the devastated feelings of all of us within the New Bridge Group who knew and cared for Tracy as articulately as Graham has done, please click here to read what he has said.
My blog this week has mainly been written by Thomas in Year 7, although I’m not sure if he volunteered or had his arm twisted by Mrs Millard. (Either way, he has classed it as ‘child labour’!) I’ll hand you over to him now for his report describing some of the hard work that has been going on in Mrs Millard’s class this week..

Mrs Lomax’ class – Thomas for doing lots of good shape learning in Maths..
Mr Corrigan’s class – Lewis H for making huge progress with his teen numbers..
Miss Parkinson’s class – Ellie for trying her hardest and doing independent work..
Mrs Halkyard’s class – Karl for super listening and doing some great independent work..
Mrs Mayall’s class – Tobias for trying hard with his work and being considerate of others..
And my ‘Head Teacher’s Awards’ go to:
Bronson who has made tremendous progress in literacy and is now writing his own sentences. He has also shown a great improvement in his attitude towards learning and this focus is paying off in terms of the progress he is making. Well done, Bronson!
Tobias who has worked extremely hard for his awards this week. He has recognised that good things come to those who persevere and keep trying their hardest. Well done, Tobias!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend. Take time to treasure your loved ones. My thoughts will be with Tracy’s husband and their three daughters.
