Wow, what a busy week we have had! Let’s find out what some of the children have been up to, starting with Mr Corrigan’s class..
In Maths this week we have had fun being the ‘little hand’ to help us tell the time on our class clock..
To help us with our ‘Come Fly With Me’ topic work we took a trip to the Manchester Airport Viewing Park..
We have been looking at transport through the ages and took this opportunity to engage in some plane spotting..
We also made our own aeroplanes and took them on a test flight..
We even discovered the playground..
Miss Louden also wanted to share with you what her class have been up to..
This week in Science we have been on a mini beast walk, looking for different bugs and insects around school..
In Maths the children have been working on addition and division equations. They have worked out equations and hunted round for the answers..
It has also been Olivia’s birthday this week and our class enjoyed throwing Olivia a birthday party, complete with games..
..and of course, cake..
The children have also been engaging in some relaxation time at home time. They have responded positively with this and engaged well with each other during this time..
This week Harry in our Key Stage 4 accompanied by Mr Valentine went on the New Bridge Year 11 residential to Haven. Harry has been a little camera shy and we’ve not managed to get a picture of him yet but it certainly looks like they all had a wonderful time..

Well done, everyone! Finally, I would like to thank all the staff at Hollinwood for working tirelessly during recent staff changes, absences and residentials to ensure that our pupils have not lost any learning. Thank you to you all.
There are only 4 weeks left now until the end of term but we have lots in store! The ‘Aladdin and Jasmine’ production involves lots of the Hollinwood children, classes are busy organising trips to celebrate the end of the year and we’ve also got Sports Day which was a great success last year, especially with parents!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend,
