I must start my blog this week by commending our KS4 students who have amazed me this week as they started their MOCK exams amidst this global pandemic and lockdown.
Welcome to the first blog of 2021 and what a week it has been.
I always take great pleasure in welcoming all students and staff back to Hollinwood Academy after any holiday.
WOW! What an amazing and fun filled week to finish the first term off with. I am not going to lie, I will be glad to see the end of 2020!! What a year we have all had.
This week there has been a real sense of ‘community spirit’ in and around school from our new sensory garden, Mahdlo Christmas family boxes, art, book and Tesco donations.
The corridors have been unusually quiet this week especially at Primary but the students and staff have been getting into the full swing of Christmas.
It was lovely to welcome the whole school back on Monday after two secondary bubbles had finished their self-isolation periods.
What a week! We have supported the national annual anti-bullying week.
