I’d like to start my blog this week by showcasing the Secondary Music Club that takes place every Wednesday, in the conference room with Mr Challinor.
I cannot believe we are at the end of January already. It has been a very busy start to the Spring term and there are lots of exciting things coming up.
I had a very exciting meeting with finance and premises this week regarding the playgrounds at primary and secondary.
The Spring term is always the shortest term and the one where the students have the opportunity to settle into their lessons and really focus upon progress and improvement.
Can I first wish you all a Happy New Year and I hope you all had a lovely Christmas break? I certainly did and I know the students and staff that I spoke to had too.

Well, what a week to officially start my Headship!! If this week is anything to go by, I think I am thoroughly going to enjoy my new role as Headteacher of Hollinwood Academy.
Writing this blog has not been the easiest to do. Over the last four years, I have watched Hollinwood grow in numbers, both of pupils and staff.
